Vicaloids and their Character Description.

Vocaloid Fanfiction:

This is a fan fiction using Vocaloid Characters (along with a few original characters). If you asked me why, it's because:

1- I am a Vocaloid Fan. (I forced Rhonda into becoming one too ^_^)

2- Vocaloids don't really have a specific or set character tied to a storyline and thus can be made to play any role.  For example, you can make Kaito play the role of a Corrupt Judge like in Judgement of Corruption or the Mysterious masked man in Canterella or the kind and shy Ogre in Ogre and Maiden.

3- Their character designs are so good that you feel like making a story around them.

Since they are just characters, the reader will be able to follow the story even if they don't know much about Vocaloids.

          Even though I did say that you could make a Vocaloid play any role, their character design and the roles they play in the various songs give a general feel of what characteristics would suit them best. Like Rin and Ren just have to be little pranksters.

About Vocaloids:

          Vocaloid is a singing synthesizer developed by Yamaha Corporation. It enables the users to synthesize singing by typing in lyrics and melody. This application can be used to produce songs without a singer. What made it even more awesome was that the application was given characters. And as a writer and artist who loves listening to music I feel that this opned the world of vocaloids not only to the music creators but also to the artists and writers. 'Cos when there are characters there is a possibility of a story to be woven around them.

Vocaloid Characters.

        I would like to spend some time describing the vocaloids that play major roles in this fan fic. The only character traits given to vocaloids are the color of their hair and eyes, their dress and character item. I'll be including a character description according to the fanfic too.

Kaito Shion:

Kaito Shion.

Kaito has blue hair and blue eyes. He wears a long coat with muffler wrapped around his neck. His character item is Ice Cream and many of his songs are dedicated towards his love for it. 

In our story:

He is the mysterious man with blue hair and blue eyes who secretly helps the rebel group called the People's Army to devise a coup against the tyrant ruler of Pelhar. He goes by the name of Kiosky Shuba and hides his true identity.

He gets bored easily and almost everything he does is to get rid of his boredom. His carefree disposition and love for ice cream effectively hides his calculative, manipulative and secretive self. He is the perfect example of a man with a mask.

Gakupo Kamui:

Kamui Gakupo.

Gakupo has long purple hair and slanting blue eyes. He wears a modern Samurai outfit with a warriors battle overcoat over a bio-suit. He carries a sword and is often shown holding a fan. His character item is an Eggplant.

In our story:

He is the bodyguard of the Prince Vincent and is the commander of the royal knights. He is agonized by the tyranny of the prince but chooses to stand by his side to repay the debt he owed to the King Izkandar. 

A man of few words, he gives off an air of arrogance.  Although he seems emotionless he has a kind heart and a sense of righteousness that conflicts with his job which often forces him to do the dirty work for the Prince.  Driven into the corner he chooses to discard his true nature and is forced to take the role of a heartless man. He wears a grave expression and hardly smiles. He is strict and disciplined and is known to be ruthless. He has a fear of water bodies due to a past experience.

Hiyama Kiyoteru:

Hiyama Kiyoteru.

Kiyoteru has brown hair and brown eyes. His glasses, black suit and tie makes him apt for the role

of a professor or teacher. His character item is a notebook.

In our story:

Kiyoteru is the personal tutor of princess Ayane who is the only sister of Prince Vincent of Pelhar.  He is the son of the head of the department of public relations and internal affairs. He is ambitious and is working to succeed his father. Although he dislikes the ways of the Prince, he disapproved the approach of the People's Army. He wants to reach a high position to be able to make his voice count in the council of ministers. 

He is a perfectionist and is very opinionated. He has a conservative outlook and is narrow minded. His ambition takes the priority in his life. He acts according to situations and can also be polite and diplomatic. 

Rin and Len Kagamine:

Len and Rin Kagamine.

Rin and Len are blond and have sky blue wide eyes.

Though they look like twins they are actually mirror images. Len is the boy and Rin is the girl. Rin likes oranges and Len like bananas. Their character item is a road-roller. Len ties his hair back in a ponytail and Rin wears and white ribbon over her head. They are absolutely adorable because of their impishness.

In our story:

Ren and Rin are the twin fox demons of Gakupo. They had made a contract with Gakupo who had found them abandoned in the forest.

Ren and Rin are natural pranksters. The only person they ever listen to is Gakupo whom they are very devoted to. They often complicate the situations further rather than solving them.  Ren is the more understanding of the two and sometimes mitigates the extreme outcomes of Rin's selfishness. Rin is very possessive about Ren and Gakupo making Ayane her favorite victim. Though she might appear  not to  care about anyone else, as she leaves the goody works to Ren, she is actually very caring. 

Luka Megurine:

Luka Megurine.

Luka Megurine looks gorgeous with her pale pink hair that almost reaches her knee and blue eyes. She is a female adult vocaloid. Her character item is tuna fish and is often seen with a small octopus version of herself.  

In our story: 

Luka is the heir of the renowned family of sages; Dai Sen. She is the daughter of the great sage Namman.  All her life she had been trained and tutored by her father to be the overseer of the legendary tournament that is held to choose the rulers of the three-colored nations. Being a girl, her family doubted her capability to succeed as the heir. Her father shunned their speculations and poured all his knowledge and love into his only child. After her father's death she succeeded as the heir with the support of her uncle, sage Gammon. 

Although she is intimidated by the big role that she has been assigned to play in the tournament, she is determined to prove her worth as the heir. She is kindhearted and strong willed. Her duties as a Sage and the responsibilities towards her family, give her a serious and mature demeanor. 

 Note [I am a great fan of Luka and Gakupo but we had decided that our story will use OC's (Original Characters) with the main male characters].

Meiko:

Meiko.

She has short brown hair and brown eyes. Her clothes generally follow the color code of red and black. Her character item is sake or beer. 

In our story:

Meiko is a member of the Royal Knights of Pelhar. She is boisterous and headstrong. She is also assigned the job of teaching princess Ayane fencing. 

She is cheerful and loud most of the time but when she gets down to business she is very serious. She will go to any lengths to complete her mission. She shows no mercy for her opponents. Once she makes an opinion it is difficult for her to change it.   

Miku Hatsune:

Hatsune Miku. 

Every one knows Miku or has at least come across her images without knowing who she is. She is the girl with the green long hair tied in two ponytails. Her character item is a leek. 

In our story:

Miku is the undisputed leader among the chosen five members from Viridia. She is the daughter of the King and was brought up with the sole motivation of keeping the dynasty confined to their family. Her family has been ruling Viridia for over three thousand years now. 

She is confident and smart. She likes to be liked by everyone and is fond of being the center of attention. She  acts cheerful and kind as long as it can benefit her. No matter what she wants to be on the top of everything. She likes people to think that she is cute and innocent. Only her subordinates (the other four participants from Viridia) know her true nature.
